2000 Malibu Sunsetter Brand New Engine Initail Start
justgary replied to TylerHartley2000's topic in General Discussion Area
Your existing ECM is good to go. Jump A to B on the data connector to put the ECM into maintenance mode, set the timing to 10 degrees BTDC, remove the jumper, and you should be all set. -
Problems with hammerhead 375 engine...

There are many things that can affect the lifespan of fuel lines. Exposure to UV, ethanol, or other chemicals is a factor. The consensus tends to be somewhere around 10-15 years max for replacement, but anything that is visibility weathered, cracked, damaged, or abnormally stiff/soft should be replaced. The quality and manufacturer might also make a difference. It may not be a coincidence that the failed fuel line I replaced had "Made in Malaysia" printed on it. -
Dang, gonna miss you for sure. Best of luck in whatever is next. Hope you at least stick around TMC!

2019 - AXIS T22 - No push and setup help
ahopkins22LSV replied to RajinCajun's topic in Ballast Info & How-to
Wedge setting? However my guess is you have too much rear weight. I’d experiment with all the lead in the bow and those 790’s only 1/2 to 3/4’s full. Most of the new style hulls only need 550’s in the back. -
Anyone else get to this point? Ten solid minutes of screwing around with the port side panels and I'd had enough. Seriously would love to see one of their engineers install these or deploy/stow the ridiculous bimini for 2022. 🙄

Acts of God 😁 So who makes that determination?

Doesn't matter, since even though they say Pennzoil, they have a weight, viscosity and if it has to be synthetic. Marine stabilizers in oil? Uh, no. You are looking for some automotive spec like sm or sn or???

Mine goes in Saturday so hopefully it will come back working after a system update.

dum dum here. 2019 T22 - no push and definetly, nothing like in video and pictures. We are throwing a hail marry for help. bow bag 790# wakemaker bags in rear lockers 8 - 50 lb bags spread out we we have move them all over the place 10.8 speed wave looks good but zero sweet spot or push. you have to hold the rope. Swim platform What is the issue? Maybe the tanks are not gettig filled, even tho the swim platform is buried in the water. Roast me and give me answers.

Likely fewer quality issues than the real thing.

2016 Malibu Electric seat

I would guess if the dealer was willing to replace it for you their parts dept would sell the motor and what ever else it might take to replace it yourself. Would be last resort for me, but short of tearing it apart yourself then trying to source from the part number, dealer might be the only option. -
Thnaks. Unfortunately I thought that might be the case.

Oh, I see it. It's PerfectPass Cruise. Nice. That boat with a little elbow grease and a welder for the trailer could be a real gem. -
Low Idle on Sporty

If your buddy is comfortable with a carb basic adjustments are easy. Should be an idle speed screw on the linkage you can easily bump up rpms a bit. -
Wireless charger installed but not working

Parts are on the website.....but no details. https://www.malibuparts.com/pages/search?query=wireless The "cradle" in my 2023 is crap, just a piece of plastic that doesn't fit any modern phone, would love to replace with what should have been there to start with. -
Sportster? Should be fine.

No power wedge sensor

I thought that had to be the case but I kept seeing everyone with the position sensor. Thank you! -
Newbie with questions - not new to boats, new to wake boats

New oem screens through Malibu are now in the $3500-$4500 realm, per screen. Thankfully, MTCscreens.com can refurbish your current screen for under $2k and the fix will likely be long lasting vs the oem replacement. For my money, I would much rather have a screen that works well than have switches. Most people who advocate for switches are minimalist types by nature or acquired a minimalist stance regarding the screens after they replaced 2-3 of them with faulty oem replacements. -
2022 Axis a22 - where is depth finder?
TommyTuna replied to TommyTuna's topic in Maintenance, Tech Info & Troubleshooting
dealer messaged me back and asked me to unplug/replug the connector to see if connection could be suspect. sounds like they're willing to play ball and get me a new transducer if it ends up not working. Saves me the trip and drop off to dealer which is painful. -
It’s not that simple. They use proprietary plugs from 2017 and newer boats. Specifically 2023 and newer have newer Deutsch style plugs. Their pin-out schematics will be on the amp.

I'm in on a group buy

I would also love to get those files if possible.

My rams have a bottle jack that works perfect for trailers, so no need to carry anything extra besides the collapsable 4 way wrench that I keep with the stock tools.

No experience with those covers. Here’s a site that I’ve got some speaker covers and guide pole covers from. They offer board rack covers too. Nothing for a full tower though. I’m guessing a local canvas shop could make you something. https://www.beyondthewake.com/home.php
