  2. Pretty sure that on my 07, as the tower is lowered, it compresses the spring more. That spring you showed would need to be pulled as the tower is lowered. So, it cant be connected the same as it is currently connected. I still don't understand how you connected that spring. Can you get some pics?

    Tommys filed for Bankruptcy yesterday

Hopefully some of these individuals got some lien rights filed. If not they are probably out of pocket. Unless a new owners/managers honor them.

  6. Here is an option that will allow them to dry. https://www.malibuparts.com/products/hrd-locker-netspair

    Cool touch seat cleaning

My manual doesn't mention Protectant, only Cleaners, and it says nothing about cool touch at all. So still just wondering what the "crew" is using for a protectant...assuming all are ok?
  8. https://alloymarine.com/products/removeable-swimdeck-brackets/ Call them.
  9. Thank you, that is my next check, I have pressed it 4 or 5 times, but I have not pulled the panel to check it with a meter like I did with the kill switch Rich
  10. Glad to hear you fixed it and will be back out on the water.
  11. Walter Machine Company offers factory rebuilding in NJ. http://www.waltergear.com/index.htm This may be an option, but they are located in the PNW. https://www.harbormarine.net/transmission-service
  12. Same here on the flip flops! I also keep a bottle of binding lube in 1 of them. I'm also planning to drill a drain hole unless someone has a good reason not to!

    21 LX All Around Performance

Thanks for all the compliments! I'll post some updates about the performance and the fix when I get the boat back out.

    Tommys vs Malibu

Ended up behind a paywall for me but the comments were telling too. I don’t know how much credence I’d give to that author.
  16. Any sort of bleach product that you might be tempted to spray on your vinyl will eat the thread and cause the stitching to fail early. Use only approved cleaners and protectant products.
  17. If you need a seal I may have an extra one.
  18. My personal reference info has A/C Delco 217-435 or NAPA CRB 2201 as the IAC.
  19. Just had this this weekend, my pump is shorted and it melted the wiring harness and plugs. Tommy’s says 2 weeks just to look at it. Have they upgraded these pumps?

    LSV22 2019 new Sound System

Just bought my new sound system... as I mention I don't want to spend much money but would like to have at least a decent sound, so my pick to the cabin was: Speakers: 6 x JBL Stage Marine 8" gray 2 x JBL Stage Marine 6.5" gray Amplifier: 1x Kicker PXA300.4 Stereo: Black Box, Viper MBB-400M Conectors: the ones from this link:
  21. I like the idea. I have a 2007 as well. My boat is currently in storage versus in the garage, so I can’t map any of the CAN data. I’m familiar with NMEA2000. The MMDC may use an older single frame only format.
  22. Worn ignition components, like spark plugs any ignition wires, are the most common cause of misfires. Other things that can cause a misfire fault are vacuum leaks, crankcase ventilation system leaks, fuel pressure that is too high or too low, contaminated fuel, leaking or clogged fuel injectors, improper cylinder compression, or excessive vibration. Excessive vibration can be caused by loose or worn engine and drivetrain components (like the vibration dampner, pulleys, raw water pump, drive plate, engine alignment, propshaft, or propeller).

  24. I was looking around under there and didn't see one. Where exactly is it located under there? I was told the same thing from someone else and I couldn'tsee it
  25. If they are like any dealer I've dealt with, they have zero need to go out looking for more work. Every dealer I've ever dealt with has had a pipeline of boats to be serviced, and have long wait times to get a boat in for work. Wait til you need to get into your local dealer for a problem during the season and they tell you that they can't service boats that they didn't sell. For obvious reasons, I wanted to service my boat at a dealer 2 hours in the direction of the lake, versus by the dealer I bought it from that was 2+ hours the wrong way. I was told that it was a Malibu policy to protect the inherent service revenue that a dealer can count on from selling one. It was a while ago, but I had to jump thru hoops to get it done. Enjoy the new boat!
  26. That's awful about your trailer! I can imagine how frustrating it must be to have it stolen. It's great that you've taken the necessary steps with the police and your insurance company. When it comes to finding a replacement, have you tried reaching out to local dealerships or checking online? Sometimes, you can find exactly what you're looking for through those channels. If not, maybe consider looking into trailers that are compatible with your boat's dimensions and weight.
