I run all ballasts and PNP at 100%. And 11.2MPH. We are at low elevation (Chicago) and a lake with 8-25 depth. We know when it’s shallow as we lose the wave.
I’m not sure my prop but curious what people recommend and why. It seems like lower RPMs are better for surf waves? Is this true? And I read keep surf gates above water line. Also true? Mind are always having water come over the top. We typically surf on wedge 3 or 4. Normally good push. But not always in shallow waters (obvious why).
Yeah stay over 15'. Regarding prop if your not having a problem getting out and yp your fine.
Goody is always bigger due to the direction of prop rotation. But if your wave isn't good enough try more nose weight BUs love that and it'll also likely get your gates out a bit more by not being so nose high and improve the lip too. If you can't do that try less rear at least on starboard as a touch of list is good.

I recently picked up the 4'11" Ronix M50 and have been loving it. I like to just run the center fin for a skim ride. But you can install the thrusters and have a more surf style feel. I'm also a big fan on the tool-less fins for Ronix. So easy to pop in and out.

I may go the better part of a mile, then drop and rest before the return trip. I'm usually just holding on by the time we get back. It's a whole-body workout.
