It looks like the surf gate transfer alarm horn.

Yes that is exactly what it is.

    • I'm getting ready to change my engine oil, tranny fluid, and v-drive oil on my 2005 Malibu Wakesetter that I purchased last fall. I'm curious on why the spec reads for the Walter V-drives to use SAE 30 Heavy Duty non-detergent.  Everything I'm ready says the non-detergent is closer to spit from your mouth than oil for a lubricant.  Wouldn't a SAE 30 Heavy Duty oil be better than a non-detergent?  As for the tranny, recommends using Dex/Mercon III, would a IV, V, or VI better?  I understand that the higher numbers weren't available in 2005 or does a guy just stick to the spec?  Last, engine oil spec'd out is the Pennzoil 15-40 marine.  Didn't have much luck finding anything similar besides the Ingmar 15-40 marine at a local shop in quarts, which ended up costing me an arm and a leg.  Any suggestions on what you guys are using out there or is it just that it is what it is, the cost of having a B.O.A.T, break out another thousand.  Thanks for any insight.

      Hi,  again,

So, I'm cleaning out and redoing and the like on the new  acquisition  when I see a plastic sheet in the port aft bin, near the bilge.

Hmmm.  Pull it up.  A totally sodden manual for the Perfect Pass which came with the boat, circa October 2001, Version Xy 6.3.

Any idea where I'd get another?  It's my first PP, let alone an antique, and I'm ignorant...

      Thanks.

      Here she is at home...

In 1991 and 1992 Malibu had a system called "MEMS" ( Malibu electronic management system ) which controlled the Blower and the Bilge pump either Manually or auto.

The blower switch would time out and turn off after a set amount of time. or you could turn the switch on and let it run all the time.

The bilge would work the same way auto or manually .The bilge could be turned on Manually and turned off when the float switch opened. then automatically when the float switch close.

All this went through the MEMS black box.( I can't remember what else it controlled.)

Both of mine stopped working after a year. The dealer rewired these switches so they no loner worked via the MEMS box.  My switches still worked but I lost the timer feature on Blower.

Your issue might be your MEMS system is still working on a time out program.

IIRC My blower use to turn on when I turned on the batteries prior to the rewire. I would just hit the blower switch again and it turned off.

Try hitting the blower switch to see if it turns off.   Same with the Bilge. The MEMS  system could be the root of this as it controls both.

I don't have a wiring schematic for this system but It can't be more than an ICB w/relays in a box.

My boat is in storage or else I would go look.

Maybe some Vintage boat owner will chime in with a fix.

We have a 2018 Malibu Wakesetter LSV and the start / stop button is not working but the power to the consul is turning on. We identified a blown fuse and then replaced it and it blew again as soon as we tried to start it up. Looking for a diagram of what fuses should be set in this Malibu and looking to find out if there is something that’s not correct. Does anybody have a fuse diagram available?
