    • Faulty batteries or voltage drop from loose/corroded connections are a common cause of many electrical problems.  Start by checking the condition of the batteries and connections.  Move on to the large electrical cable connections at the battery switch, engine block grounds, and power distribution post by the transmission.  Then check the fuse and breaker connections in the observer storage, helm breaker panel connections, and the under dash ground buss and power module cables.

We have a couple rectangle boat bumpers we shove under the tower on top of the gunwale.   It’s the worked fairly well.

    • Yeah that and the faded tower are red flags. It’s been used in a private lake so I assume the trailer has just sat out in the sun. I’ll definitely be going over the trailer if I move forward. As far as the boat goes anything in particular to this model that I should look out for?

    • Looks like it's in pretty good shape for it's age.  I'd take a serious look at the trailer!! If it's original, it's probably at (or past) the useable life.  I'd check the cross members, axle/spring hangers as well as the welds holding the bunks.  I don't think this should be a dealbreaker, but you'll need to be aware if you will tow any distance at all.  A broken trailer on a boat is no fun at all, and can ruin a good vacation or even summer.  When you test drive the boat, look over the trailer while boat is off.
