I'd be heading out with the truck and picking it up - but I have no patience ;)

LOL the delay is about the readiness of our home, not  the boat.

But I'd thought about doing the delivery myself, I have to admit, as it's costing my son over $1500.  But sanity reigned, as it's a 12 hour drive and 735 miles, and he's happy to pay the shipper who's ready when we are - which keeps moving a day-at-a-time later (don't want to move in while the painters are doing their thing, or the floor's not yet laid, etc.)...

And, of course, our getting ready to leave FL forever keeps having chores and pleasures (goodbye dinners, etc.) accumulating or sprouting.

But we'll be there soon enough, and so will the boat ☺

    • I am not a fan of the Vault hubs. In five years of ownership I have had all of them leak, repaired, leak, repaired, and currently leaking. I’ll take the good old proven bearing buddy like my old boat trailer had. Went 10 years without a single issue. Cleaned and repacked the bearings every couple of years and greased em up in between. Vaults you have to have special grease, can’t easily add grease, plus you have to seal them with sealant each time that obviously doesn’t seal. Okay rant over, I’m a bearing buddy fan. Done with the Vaults, will be changing mine over to the OG next time the trailer is in.

Hopefully you picked up one from our local dealer.  They are great and you are a few hrs away from us.  They have had a few 2023 23 LSV recently come off their site.

I did! They were fantastic...easy to work with, great pricing and willing to work with me on transport challenges of not being directly on lake.

If the GPS unit on the boat wasnt providing any reference voltage then it would NOT work at all.

This is not strictly true.  It depends on the design of the preamplifier.

Did you actually measure the bias voltage on yours?

Are you able to view a screen that shows signal strengths from each satellite?

Humans are more like Lemmings than we care to admit, as a society most jumped on the 'free money' train, well now 'we' are rapidly approaching hard ground, the result is always the same.  The few that didn't are looking around at a pretty barren landscape wondering how we fall in the same trap every time.  Who'd of thunk it would end badly?

      I agree.

I found it interesting during COVID times that nobody in the government or financial industry reminded people that this was why we all need to keep three to six months worth of expenses in a sack at the bank.  All they do is tell us that 56% of Americans don't have $1,000 available in an emergency.

And as a reminder to everyone:  You should keep three to six months of expenses available at all times in case of an extreme hardship.  The bonus is that once you figure out how to do that, saving for a cushy retirement is pretty easy (provided you start soon enough).
