    • Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm hoping someone from this chain can help me. I have a 2001 wakesetter 23 LSV. My swim platform brackets were worn down. I was able to find used brackets for the platform and then ordered new transom brackets from AlloyMarine. My question is related to help with the transom brackets. I was able to easily get the bolts off the old transom brackets, but the brackets seems to be glued to the fiberglass. I tried some gentle (ish) taps with a rubber mallet. Even tried a couple hard ones on the edge with a hammer and crowbar. Do I need to try and fit a putty knife between? Is this just a brute force thing? Lastly, once I have them off, what are suggests for new adhesive/sealing methods for the brackets and the thru bolts? Thanks crew. Jeff

I did! They were fantastic...easy to work with, great pricing and willing to work with me on transport challenges of not being directly on lake.

      tmc loves photos!

    • I will bet that beauty doesn't tip the scales at 3,100 lbs  (1,406 kgs for those metric minded)  like the current crop of 3 event ski boats!

    • Well this keep this thread going as there a ton of these boats out there with no solution for this sensor.  I think I am going to try a Volvo Penta trim sender because it looks like it OHMS out correctly.  If I wire it in and make it work, I may try to 3d print the 7 sided heptagon and see if I can recreate this.

    • I went through this with mine not working a few years back after my local Malibu dealer installed new actuators on the wedge. Sensor worked fine before it went in, came out not working. Long story short after several return trips to the dealer for troubleshooting. Fixed it myself as they installed the sensor incorrectly. Back to your post.

I tried to chase one down along the same path you have. Volvo sensor, Windline, then Lobostar.  I even called Lobostar and they searched their scrap bins looking for one. Tried a German sensor manufacturer as well. No luck. Contacted Malibu directly looking for a solution and they recommended installing a manual wedge. 🙄 This all while it was at the dealer as they were trying to fix it.

Sorry I’m not much help for you finding a solution. I quit chasing a solution after I fixed mine. If you do find one, please let us know here. I’m sure I’ll be needing a replacement at some point and would like to have a spare on hand.
