IIRC don't the 8.1s have a "taller" trans ratio (like 1.2:1 instead of 1.5:1)?  In that case I'd go with an agro 15" prop like the acme 2419.

I would call the guys at ACME or OJ props and ask them.  They are very knowledgeable.  They will often send you a prop and let you return it if you exchange for another as long as you don't ding it.  It is worth the shipping costs to be sure you have the correct prop.   They will also want to know the elevation of the lake you most frequent as that makes a big difference.  

Just to add some diversity of opinion, I think the 1235 is the best surf prop for most boats with a smaller motor (5.7L).  I think the 8.1 can likely manage a more aggressive prop and you can have a little bit of the best of both worlds with low end torque as well as top speed.   I had an 8.1 in one of my boats and loved it.  

And of me.

This is a 2007.1st yr of drive by wire.  It has a Morse throttle and the potentiometer is on the throttle. I didn’t test it as it was intermittent. I replaced it so we’ll see.
