Just a good reminder to everyone demo boats before you purchase. The fact this isn't a slalom boat would have been apparent the second your wife got behind the boat. It does suck if your dealer hyped the slalom performance a bit much, but its certainly not all their fault, or malibus.

It’s actually the propwash behind VTX that “feels” hard. Churning less water accomplishes that. No it’s not gonna make it magically into a response. It is hardly a shoot first aim later approach. This is well-known stuff in the slalom/barefoot world, where the amount of fine-tuning goes WAY deeper than just suggesting a smaller steeper prop.
85 - Not trying to pick a fight with you. I am merely suggesting that the OP research fully vs his expectations this time around so he doesn't end up unhappy again, i.e. shott first then aim... Wasn't implying that a prop change wont help the slalom wake

The inspections and testing I recommended should help indicate what is causing the problem with less guess work. The fuel filters are located in the fuel tank on the fuel pump and are not considered a regular service item.

Is that included in a typical 300 hour service? Seems to me like it should be

A faulty fuel pump, fuel pressure sensor, or bad wiring/connections can cause this. It is important to check the battery condition and all of the main power and ground cable connections before diagnosing the fuel system. If the batteries and their connections are good, then check the battery switch, power distribution post, starter connections, and engine block ground connections before using a mechanical fuel gauge to verify the actual fuel pressure.
That’s very helpful! Would it indicate that is it the fuel system if this only happens at higher speeds/ revs?
