But geez some people just get offended really easily when you don't follow their advice to the T but if you'd like to fly out here and do it for me it's sitting right here in my yard underneath the boat port if it's so easy come do it..lol

Trust me, I'm not offended.  You asked for help, and when you started getting it you started whining about how it might actually involve you looking inside your own boat to definitively know that you indeed have 3.5" exhaust hose (you do).  Then you started whining about the heat.  I'm pretty sure it isn't any hotter or muggier at your house than it is at mine.  Why ask for help if you know you aren't going to do anything?  By the way, I went out in the heat to look for my flappers to show you what they look like from the other side.  I didn't melt (but maybe they did, which might be why I didn't find them).

I tried to help because I removed my flappers and installed turn-down tips years ago.  I suggested the way I found that was very simple to remove the old ones.  The hardest part for you will be getting in your boat and removing the hose clamps from the inside.  But you are correct, that will actually involve you getting in the boat and manipulating your way past everything else that is in the way.  On my direct drive I had to remove the fuel tank to get access.

As for changing your hoses, I strongly recommend that you put new exhaust and fuel lines in while you are in there.  A ruptured exhaust hose is an excellent way to sink a boat.  A ruptured fuel line is even worse.

See that'd be where you go wrong I mean that is why I came here to find out what this project would entail and when I found out I'm saying right at this moment it's not for me and I'm sorry that you're offended that I'm not gonna actually follow your instructions to A T..

that sounds like a little bit of a personality problem, you're upset at my responses, like I'm supposed to have some pre programmed responses, I'm telling you I thought it would be a little easier a little quicker like when we just cut the flappers off and put the ones you can with the stainless cramps on versus replacing the whole assembly...

I I've worked on my boat before, trust me, I just don't at this moment of using my boat weekly and as hot as it is here in Texas and not knowing if this stuff is gonna fit or not it's not gonna work for me at the moment but I probably going to put it on my winter list of things I wanna do before next year's season starts....

But yes ,I came here for help,

I read everything people responded and I also responded back and I'm just choosing not to go ahead with the project because of the advice..

so I got the help I needed you've convinced me it's not something I want to do at the moment... But geez some people just get offended really easily when you don't follow their advice to the T but if you'd like to fly out here and do it for me it's sitting right here in my yard underneath the boat port if it's so easy come do it..lol :notworthy::cheers:

    • I have a complete port side glass and frame from my 2012 23LSV available.  I also have a center walk thru windshield frame/glass available.  Willing to sell.

    • I want to do this so badly.   I also broke the cheap plastic louver on the captain's heater vent.

    • As a side note, the below video is the best I have seen on the Vault replacement process. Very thorough with good video quality.
