      I pull my forward ski locker plug every trip because I wash the upholstery and carpet, and sometimes rinse the engine.  I let it drain and then put it in the garage with a blower on it to dry it out.

      @BlindSquirrel I can’t get the nut off the coupler. I haven’t got the step of removing the coupler 

      @csleaverhow much space is required?  I assume there’s a shaft interface between the Vdrive and the transmission

      Yep, pretty accurate portrayal of this purchase,  but this definitely won’t be the last.  The current one is only 25 years old & running strong, but it’s time for an upgrade. 

      With trailer it was a hair under $113.  Both have warranty that hopefully I won't need.  Our last boat was a 2008 so hopefully this one runs as well for as many years!

      If I see anything interesting for sale here I will DM you.  I am in OH but went to AL to buy this one.  They stored it for the winter and were supposed to deliver it to our home lake, which is in TN, but I couldn't wait and went to get it myself.  :-)

      Ok, lets talk how it works.

      Once the hard tank fills the in the back you have a big hose that starts filling the soft bag. If this is plugged the water will go upfront to the drain smaller hose and run out the side of the boat. (This drain hose has a check valve that doesn't let it go into the soft bag) (See pic)

      Now this is the tricky part If you have the soft bag and the bottom hose not plugged it will fill the bag with water then it will go out the drain passing the check valve.

      ((((BUT if the check valve is stuck it could possibly put air in the bag))))

      Also if you look at my pics you will see that the hard tank drain hose goes way up to help with hydrostatic pressure. 

      Make sure your check valve isn't upside down also. See my pics
