    • glad they're ok.  hope it wasn't the numbnuts on FB that was saying it's ok to use an automotive alternator in a boat to get by for a weekend.  good reminder to use your blower always, and don't skimp on marine parts!

    • Hey - not sure if you have a 2023 or 2022 based on your profile.  I am currently having voltage issues which has worsened over the past few weekends on my 2023.  I will get the high voltage error code of 168 before I get the low engine battery voltage across the main screen around the same time (to be honest not sure which one comes first).  My voltage will literally jump from 14 to 12 and back in seconds.  Overall, very abnormal behavior.  Dealer came out two weeks ago and software is up to date.  I am meeting them at the boat this afternoon.  It's borderline undriveable as the error code is loud and alarming every five to ten mins.

    • Don't forget the engine block ground connections also.

    • I'd just throw a flapper pad on a grinder and gently remove material till it doesn't have a clearance issue.

    • I agree with @EchelonMikethat this is an inexact science and is of then overthought.  My old 247 and my now 25 rested on 2 x roughly parallel  bunks that are about 48” apart.  Our bunks are each made with 2-2x6’s laminated together on end.  They need to be high enough off the lift frame for the tracking fins to pass by and you will need some type of clearance or cutout for the the running gear.  Beyond that, there isn’t much to it.

The only thing that concerns me is that the Econolift website says that lift has 2.5’ arms.  If that is the total vertical travel of the lift, it might be tough to get it deep enough to get the fins to clear and still have the bunks low enough under water…. Might be worth a call to Econolift.
