    • @csleaveris correct, surf gate transfer alarm horn. It's on my 2015 23 LSV. Although I have to admit, it's getting harder for me to hear it. I usually watch the lights and time my transfer that way.

    • Same voltage issue on 2011 LSV.  Batteries show 12.6 when off.   14.4 at idle.   Malview shows about 11.6 when off and about 12.8  at idle.   When engine is off I get 12.6 everywhere with an exception in the fuse boxes.   I get 12.6 going into the boxes and 11.6 on the circuits that have a fuse installed, but I get 12.6 on all the empty bypass circuits that are right next to them.  It’s like all the switched circuits are being regulated down a volt and the bypass circuits are carrying full voltage.    Maybe this will mean something to one of you guys and help move the ball on this one.

I'm guessing that's not the major issue.

Florida passed a similar law with an age exclusion a long time ago.  The reason for the age exclusion is that it didn't apply to anyone already alive, just those yet to be born.  It would not have passed if it applied to any voters.  I saw the attempt as basic age discrimination and voted no.  If it is a good idea, it should apply to everyone.  I don't think it has made any difference at all in terms of safety.

To be honest, I don't think I want "the Man" roaming around all the time stopping everyone.  Making sure I have a life jacket doesn't really make me safer, even if something happens.  It is too hard to police a bunch of people who loosely follow the rules, or even the occasional blatant idiot.

On our lake we have had a few deaths, and without the marine patrols there would have been more. They don’t pull over here for petty BS which is nice.

the first time they see a new watercraft on the lake they wave you over, check out safety equipment and then log your registration numbers and never bother you again.

we have a party sandbar here too. So if you’re standing while underway, have 25 people in your boat, or weave like crazy they will pull you.

they have pulled off dozens of drivers with BAC over .2. And I don’t want those folks on the water.

I know all the sheriffs and wave and visit with them. Oftentimes with a drink in my hand. They do a good job here and don’t overpatrol.

My dealer won the race. The reason why I needed this I had a voltage reading problem. If anyone needs the 2012 software updates let me know.

Can you send me the file I have the same voltage issue reading low

    • Canada requires a boating license to operate any kind of powered vessel. Pretty straightforward 4 hour online course. It has good intentions but it in reality it does absolutely nothing to teach people how to drive a boat, safety about water sports or common sense. It’s primarily focused on navigation, markers found on the ocean, tides, etc, very little applicable to a user on a typical lake.

This also does not apply to rental boats unfortunately. Anyone can rent a boat with a quick 2 min safety rundown.
