'07 RLXI Boom

My buddy just got a new 07 RLXI with an Illusion X tower. He also just received a Skylon boom that he ordered. We foot off of the driver's side. When we tried to install the boom none of the pre-drilled holes would work for either side (driver's or passenger's). I can drill new holes, but I really don't want to do that.

Does anyone else have a new boat and a boom already? And, if so, which set up are you using?

BTW, he's calling Skylon today to find out what they want to do. I don't have the results of that conversation yet.

Last I knew Skylon did not make a boom with the large offset for a Response LXi, and the staff at Skylon have no clue.

The offset is no prob on the Skylon. It would actually work great. It's just that the holes where it mounts to the bracket (they gave us 2 sets to work with) are not in the correct location. I imagine that drilling another set will be the manner in which this problem is fixed.
