I got one last year and I use it separate from the app. Casting it to my tv is a pain. Still fun to play around on and can help build your core up some too

We have that one and I like it a lot.

Do you feel it helps with actual surfing or just balance and core? My kids can surf ropeless just fine, but would like to find something to do during the winter to help them figure out 360s, shove-its, etc.

For surfing it helps mostly with body position while spinning. Also, if you’re limber it helps with switching a foot with a hand and other poses. Personally I get bored during meetings at home and just stand on it doing squats and what not for balance practice.

Following. I almost bought one on Black Friday but was worried it wouldn’t be worth it.

Amazon has them for $180 with a 20% off coupon, which is why we are thinking about it.

I think they were $150 on Black Friday. But I’m sure you would have paid shipping.

I have had one for a couple of years.  Like everybody else said, it is good for balance and core strengthening.  I would say it's biggest benefit in relation to actually surfing and how it could help would be for for shuv-its and possibly 360's.  My daughter uses more than anything.  I really don't ever think to get it out to mess with it.  There are a couple of games on the app that she likes to play with.
I saw this board advertised recently and looks more beneficial for shuv-its and even 360's, although it is a lot more expensive.
