2021 M5 Engine oil

First time doing an oil change.  Are there any options outside of the Malibu 5W-30 Full Synthetic oil?  I that different than a regular 5W-30 full synthetic oil?  Looks like Bakes has a limited quantity of the Malibu oil.

Basically any other 5w-30 that is dexos approved. I’ve always used valvoline or mobil1, depending on which is a better price when I walk into Walmart or rural king.

Kirkland 5W-30 Fully synthetic from Costco here. I buy the boxes when they are on sale. Usually 10qts is around $30. Dexos approved

Most dealers use barrels of synthetic mobil 1 rather than the indmar, pcm or Malibu brand. No harm using a different brand.

Oil…is….oil!  Assuming you have the right viscosity and specs.  At $15 a quart for “Malibu branded oil” you can save yourself a lot of money using Costco brand.
