Lost all gauge readings and Power Wedge would not go up.

2009 VTX - 350 hours.

Out wake surfing on the weekend - during one run, all the gauges froze.  We continued to surf with no speed readings but managed to pull it off.  When we were done, all the ballast pumps worked, but we couldn't see the ballast readings on the screen.  I tried to bring up the Power Wedge, but it was unresponsive.  Reading other posts about the gauges would suggest the MDC, but the Wedge also not working seems to suggest something else.  

Does anyone smarter than me have an idea as to where this problem is?
