A24 raw water heat exchanger plug

Recommended Posts

Removal of the floor panels is required in some cases, but I often use a small pry bar to lift up the water hose to get to the drain plug.  Removing the vee drive water drain plug and exhaust drain plugs drains a majority of the raw water.  After they have been removed, there is usually very little or no water that drains from the heat exchanger lower hose plug.

Also, sometimes you can loosen the clamp and turn the hose a little so it is in a better position to make it easier in the future.

If it's the one on the line coming off of the bottom of the heat exchanger you can also just drop the hose from it.
