(also, even if you have a PnP 750# bag up front, highly doubtful it is filling that much under the seats)

I had the same thought, but looked again over the holiday and it's a 750 sack, it's full, and isn't restricted in filling from the hull/deck.

My .02 - if that new to the boat, i'd suggest leave it alone for a little while as its probably less important to change that than to get comfortable with setting it up and balancing ballast and just having fun etc

Well I'm one step closer....dinged the prop this weekend while not paying attention and got into some shallow water.   It's VERY minor as engine was at idle speed, and it's only a small kiss on one blade.   Regardless, I'll be ordering a replacement soon.   I'm still debating 17x17 vs 18x16....stay tuned!

Yikes, glad its minor. Interested to hear what you go with and whether it changes the experience the way you want

We had an experienced local on the boat yesterday.   He's a big dude, 6'4" 260lbs, so had to crank things up to get push for him and fought a lot of wind in doing it, but ended up at 11.6mph wedge 6 all tanks and PNP full except rear starboard sack about 50% full.   Wave had tons of push way back in the pocket, but surf rpms were 3a little high for my preference at 3800ish (M6, 3077 17x15.5 prop).    We had been surfing at 10.5 wedge 3/4 with a steep but short pocket previously.   All this to say that you can't go by visual of the wave only, gotta ride it and feel the push!
