Ballast shows full and it's not

My port ballast shows 100% full and it isn't. It will still empty as normal but the percentage won't change. Any thoughts on how to reset that?

You remove the sensor by disconnecting the boat harness plug from the sensor wires located at the top aft of the port ballast tank, remove the 5 sensor retaining screws with an 8mm or 5/16 socket, remove the aft cup holder or move the tank so the sensor can be pulled out of the tank.

With the sensor removed, the harness can be reconnected to the sensor and the float can be moved by hand into different positions to verify that the tank level reading changes.
