Replacement Swim Platform for 2006 Malibu V-ride

The sim platform on my son's 2006 V-ride was showing its age (worn, cracked ant splintery). We decided to build a replacement. After pricing out teak at over $1,000 we settled on Philippine Mahogany which is advertised as suitable for marine use. Price of lumber dropped to $218 dollars. Finish added another $83 plus miscellaneous screws, etc... Added a drop down swim ladder for $85. The foil will have to be lowered to use the swim ladder. I'm attac
hing drawings and photos incase anyone else is considering this project. Dimensions may be adjusted based on your existing platform. We used pieces of the existing deck as templates for curved pieces.

Looks great, and that is a GREAT write up!

I will add an interesting fact...the '06 Vride swim platform has the exact same dimensions as any year Echelon or Echelon LX.  I bought a platform from @Ndawg12 that was on his '06 Vride waaaayyyyyyy back in 2012 to upgrade my Echelon LX platform and it was a perfect fit.

I'm in the - wood platforms make really good wine bars camp.  I'll stick with fiberglass on boats

Looks great!  Thanks for the write up.  I have been toying with adding a ladder to mine to make it easier on my wife getting back in the boat.
