Lake Wylie members - questions about moving down there

Hello any members who live on/near Lake Wylie.  My wife and I have our house under contract and are planning to move there in the next couple of months (closing around May 19).  There is a lot to plan, but I have a few questions and would love some guidance from some local experts.

1.) The boat is going to be staying at Morningstar Marina in Belmont, but I need to find a place to store the trailer.  There is a guy that is related to the marina that does trailer storage for $500/year with free pick up and drop off of the trailer, but wondering if that is a good deal or not.  To me it seems high for just storing the trailer, but I haven't had to store a trailer before so I am not really sure what the going rate is.

2.) We are shipping the boat down there, and I *MIGHT* need some help getting it off the trailer and getting it to the marina...if anyone is willing to help out (I will compensate you for your time), PM me and let me know.

3.) When we get down there, would anyone be willing to go out on the lake with us and show us around?  We hear that obstacles are poorly marked (if at all), so it would be nice to get a little lay of the land before we go all out.  Again, willing to compensate you for your time :-).

Around here, $500/year is a pretty good rate for a “spot” regardless if it is just a trailer or with a boat on it.  The storage places are renting the space vs what is in it usually.

and 42$ a month to store anything is dirt cheap😂🤷‍♂️
