Can anyone tell me the yellow stripe color code for a 1993 Malibu Echelon?

Perhaps you are looking for a BIA wire color chart....

For a boat of that age even using the factory color code will not be a direct match. You will have to mix up a color yourself.

I am going to paint the entire stripe on the boat and was wondering if anyone knew the original color name. I have heard it may be California yellow. Yes I am referring to the gel coat.

I’d probably contact a dealer for that info, you may have to call around a bit tho

Are you looking for a way to rejuvenate the color, or do you have damage you need to repair?

If you just want it to look better, I would recommend wet sanding followed by buffing.  Another option is wet sanding followed by a clear coat of aircraft paint such as Awl Grip.

Attempting to put new gel coat on is quite the undertaking, and it will probably always look like a glob job unless you get professional help.

Email Malibu Customer Service with the hull number and they will respond with the color information
