Looks good.  Their is nothing on the local GMC lots around here for HD trucks, they don't seem to have caught up yet.

Around here dealers are back to pre vivid with trucks in stock. IE: I got an email a few weeks back 12k off MSRP.
Aldo, got an email from my boat dealer last weekend.

“Better than boat shoe pricing. We will beat any boat show price”

Call owner to discuss.

Inventories here are not strong like that for trucks.  There are more half tons available than HD trucks in our market from what I see daily.  Boats are piling up, though.

This is not a knock on ford, but my friends 2022 f150 platinum has been in the shop 5 times already.

Gotta love the “I got a friend….” post.

Yet you somehow neglect to mention you have no less than three friends in this very thread with 2022 Fords who’ve never been back to the dealer with their big fancy screens and wide open panoramic roofs.

Ah come on man, it honestly had nothing to do with Ford, big screen or sun roofs. His panoramic sunroof is perfectly fine though...

There is a point to be made that sometimes it isn't always best to have the next best thing in the auto industry. I was posting an example that he has had fairly significant software issues in less then a year. I would bet that new GM owners with the latest software and controls have similar experiences. It just the nature of the beast with all of this new innovation being pushed. It is all awesome, but I do prefer to have the tail end of the run with my vehicles. Seem to have most kinks worked out by then.

Was it his heated steering wheel??

asking for a friend?

These have been deleted from the Ford Raptors.  I am not sure if the heated steering wheel has been eliminated from any other Ford trucks or not.
Everybody says stay away from the first year of a new generation vehicle, but some things that are on my Gen 3 have been eliminated and you can't get right now like the heated steering wheel.  And not because of problems but still trying to conserve chips.

I love Ford's big fancy screen.  Zero issues with mine.  Only problem with my sunroof is here in the Midwest, in winter around Lake Michigan the sun doesn't come in it very often.

I too love the big screen.  I'm hoping to get the update to allow for full screen carplay vs the split screen set up now.

With respect to the giant sunroof, I'm on truck #4 with it.  I had problems with the first 2, then on the 3rd I was able to address it myself.  This one I've had no issues.  There was a TSB out on the former ones I had where the fix was to effectively lubricate the seals.  It would get stuck and when you opened it, it would either be stuck closed or pop then open.  The fix was petroleum jelly using a rag and credit card to lubricate the perimeter.  I had zero issues after that.

I have not received the update yet.  On the Raptor forum, sounds like it will just randomly update OTA unless you go to the dealer to have them do it.  They want $150 for that.  I will wait for the OTA update.  Curious as to how these updates go out.  Some have received it already and some have not.  If you are under 12,000 the dealer will do it for you at not cost according to my dealer.  Over that, they are charging to do the updates.  He said this is Ford trying to force people to set their screens up to do the OTA updates.

I have heard about those sunroof issues.  I will have to remember to lube it up every so often.

Interesting about the mileage for the update.  Seems stupid to me.

I did see some on forums who have been able to "force" the OTA update, but I've not been successful with that.

I have no experience with the new updates. But on my 16 I was able to update it from a download off one of the forums to have CarPlay when only the 17s were supposed to get it. After it has been out for a bit shouldn’t be too hard to find.

We have a 2022 F350 and a 2022 Bronco. Both have heated steering wheels.

My 2020 F150 with Sync 3 does not connect to WiFi well at all, so I just download the updates from Ford and use a USB stick.  They have another update out now that I have downloaded but not bothered to walk out to the truck.  The process is pretty simple for both the firmware and the map updates.

I don't think they removed it from to many vehicles.  Somehow I think the Raptor just drew the short end of the stick.  This has only been on 2023 builds as far as I know.
