Wakeboard wake - 22lsv vs. 23lsv

In the past week I've taken sets behind a 2019 22lsv and a 2022 23lsv.  I was amazed at the kick that I got from the 22 and was hoping to find the same from the 23 with a little less weight.

I was actually amazed that I felt like I got a better floaty pop from the 22.  Conditions were slightly better on the 22 day.  Both were weighted to wakeboard pro.  We were able to get the wedge to 5 on the 22 and 4 on the 23 without loss of speed. The 23 was propped with the 1773.  I'm not sure how the 22 was propped.  I really liked the wedge on 4 or 5 with the 22 and wanted to try that on the 23, but it needed the M6 or to be more aggressively propped.

First, was I likely just timing things better on the 22?  Is there reason to believe that the 22 would have a better wakeboard wake than the 23?  My favorite set ever was on a 50 to 60 % loaded 24 MXZ and that is what the 22 felt like.  Early in my 23 set I know I was standing early, but I corrected for that somewhat and still didn't find the full kick.

Second, does the 23 need to propped more aggressively?  I tried to check the prop finder at wakemakers but didn't get any results.

TIA.

Look at it like this....  a smaller boat will have less real estate on the actual wake.    Generally when you have a more steep wake with a lip you will have less transition and vice versa.  Most smaller wakeboard specific boats generally have a little steeper wake and less transition all things being  equal.  The wedge helps to adjust this so the 23 LSV can have just as much kick off the lip with more wedge and the weight balanced properly but it will be a little bigger with more transition for landing.

@Gene3x I appreciate the response.  Went out on a different 22 lsv and again just got the best kick.  I can tell, I have 100 percent comfort and timing approaching that wake and I was simply early on the 23.  That said, fully weighted we could ride the 22 with 5 on the wedge and only 4 on the 23.  Regardless, the take away should be that I should be able to work on my timing to get the same, or better, vertical kick on the 23 as I'm finding on the 22.  With additional transition, there is also a chance that I could get a smoother landing, when hitting the back side correctly.

Is that what you are saying?  Its scary to spend one afternoon test driving/riding a boat and then consider purchasing.

Yes , that is basically it.  Also as you add wedge or weight it will be more and more sensitive to weight fluctuations in the boat but you will likely get a better lip at the top of the wake to kick you up as you described it.
