HI,

Considering purchase of 2022 21 lx.  Both water skiing and wake surfing desired activities for our group.  Recreational plus level slalom skiers.  Wondering if someone who has an 2022 21 lx with diamond hull can comment on how the wake works for slalom skiing AND then for wake surfing.

I can tell you that it surf extremely well with just factory ballast and plug and play bags. I think it would be better with some extra lead in the passenger storage area and bow. The wake at 34mph looked very flat but we didn’t ski it. I think at that speed and 28/32 off it would be pretty flat. Didn’t look at any other speed for skiing. Specifically for skiing though, it fully depends on your preference and how you like to ski though. Demo is you best best. If you can, put the handle of the rope on the pylon and let the other end of the rope put. Get to your preference for speed and check to see what line length looks to be the flattest, most rounded part of the wake. Then try that. It will require experimenting but I’m sure there are setups for it that will be good.
