High Pitch Noise

Recommended Posts

2014 20' wakestter vtx - was working fine and yesterday started it with an excruciating high pitch noise.  Noise appears to be coming from the engine compartment.  However, the noise is consistent with the power on and engine off.  It was so loud neighbors on the lake were calling to make sure we were ok.  Any ideas?

is there a way to disconnect blower fan to use it this weekend and then have it fixed?

I would make sure to open the engine hood fully before each engine start if you decide to not use your blower.  Gas fumes are heavier than air and collect in the bilge, and can be ignited by a tiny spark.

Don't blow yourself up (it does happen).
