Sagging Removeable Floor Section on 2000 Sportster LX

Recommended Posts

This is the hatch immediately aft of the motor box; it covers the propshaft & exhaust hoses. Dealers (several that I've spoken to) cannot find part numbers for pre-2003 Boats, which is unacceptable, to my way of thinking. It should also be covered by the boat warranty, since I am the original owner.

If anyone can tell me what material it was made of, I would try to purchase & then re-use the carpet. It seems to be a type of honeycomb composite. It was light and stiff, for many years; until it wasn't.

Thanks!

I don´t know if it is the same Material as on my Pro Star but you might be on the right way with Aluminium Honeycomb Plates?

I did not found a Dealer in the USA but may be there is one who ships it.

As an alternative, polyethylene might also work? These panels are available cut to size on ebay.

Best regards,

Felix

Your dealer should call Malibu since you are the first owner.  If they won't, call Malibu yourself.
