Haha if you hang out at a chain up area in the sierras for 20 minutes during a snow storm, I 100% believe you could see someone zip tying pizza cutters to their wheels because they read on the inter webs that their car does great in the snow with them.

they are selling on tv plastic zip tie looking chains

Looks fun.  Never managed to be down there at the same time as the buggy races, even though my folks had a house down in Naples for years.  Not sure about misery, the whole family used to like to get covered in mud when we were still doing that sort of thing in the Willys

Poor fella.  He conked his head on the roll bar!

My 99 f250 is 2wd. It has literally gotten stuck iny parents driveway. My grandfather bought it as his hwy cruiser to pull his camper to FL and both him and my dad didnt believe in 4wd as anything other than a waste of money. Im a firm believer  in the ability to lock in the fronts and pull out. Truck is getting a locker soon  so I can go back to using the steep sketchy ramp where there is no boat traffic to deal with. Otherwise it looks like ken block is pulling out from the ramp with all the tire smoke from the ol 2wd.

A little late..but for transportation we only drive 4wd. That said my HD cummins always handles the ramps in 2wd. On a jobsite a lot and sometimes I park in a muddy spot (level ground) and the tires spin.  I have 35's Firestone AT..good tires. I just kick in 4wd for 10sec and good to go.
