I have tried the LED technique on the. pin F and E and the paper clip on A and B.
The engine goes into setting mode at about 1100 rpm but the LED stays on permanently I thought it flashes the number of faults...
But it’s me having ordered all the necessary parts and waiting for your instructions for the PC program

hello everyone ... I followed the connection steps for the software ... it's Ok .. When I plug in the plug on the boat (delphi) I click to connect with port3 (the others do not work) and unfortunately after 10/15 seconds the SYNC button lights up red and the software searches without result. there is the key to erase the faults that works I think because after 10 seconds it turns on again (I think the faults return) .. but I have no reading with the software ... maybe I did or I haven't done something?

Your ECM should be MEFI2.  Can you remove the cover (the box above the transmission bell) and visually verify it?

Also, please click the "Comms" tab on the program and post any output here.

MEFI2 should look something like the one on the left:

If yours looks like the one on the right, it is MEFI4 and you need different software.

you're right mine is the one on the right (MEFI 3 or 4)....

Note that you may also need a diode in your cable to get it to work.  Sorry I didn't include that before.

A 2000 year model Indmar should have MEFI2 in it.  Do you know the history of the engine in your boat?

thank you I will try the program ... my boat is from 2000 year but difficult to know the exact date because it was imported into France in 2001 so maybe it is from this year because I delivered the original with engine ... PS without the diode can it work or not at all? thanks thanks !!!

Perhaps they started using MEFI4 earlier in the Hammerhead engine.

The cable might work without the diode.  If you don't get any data, show me the "Comms" output.

hello, as I suspected it does not work ... the SYNC button lights up in red after 25 seconds ... certainly because there is no diode on the orange wire ... I will receive it tomorrow ...Thanks see you soon

No.  You only need service mode to set base timing.  You can use a jumper wire to do it manually if you ever need to do that.
