Difficult to unhook trailer

Recommended Posts

I’m a new again boater (had a boat 5 yrs ago). My Fulton lift is too tall to get under the boat.

Do I need a drop hitch on my truck or?

The lift height is adjustable. Look on the back side (close to the trailer frame) for the adjustment bolts.

Is the trailer level when towing?

If so sounds like you need to adjust the jack itself...if its not then look into raising/drop hitch.

Like @06malibu said the trailer will be much happier if it's level.

Especially if you have tandem torsion axles.  The ball height should be about 19" high with the trailer on it.  That is a ballpark, so adjust it until you have the trailer frame parallel to the ground when it is hooked up.
