So I got a dilemma. I have a 2005 vlx that is in great shape (sea deck, stereo, low hours, PNP, etc.). I have the wave dialed in as best as I believe to be possible. It still has no lip to pop off of on my side. I've got it in my head a newer LSV will be substantially better for surfing. Any opinions on this? Having a hard time finding someone near by to take me out for a demo.

I've got the budget for a newer one but will it be worth it in wave?

This past year I went form a 05 VLX with surf tabs and extra bags to a 2017 25 LSV and it was worth every penny to upgrade for the wave and the comfort of the bigger hull.  You won't regret upgrading.
