In January I'm not expecting my boat to sell in 4 weeks unless I'm giving it away. BoatTrader is $55 every 4 weeks if you want to keep it listed - and that's their cheapest package. Ebay is good too, we bought and sold two boats on Ebay.

True - it isn't the busiest selling season... buuuut, SheepRides is ridin' his flock in SoCal (not quite like sellin a boat in Jan in UT) and it is boat show season, also a good time to sell with people looking at used vs new

My thoughts exactly. The Los Angeles boat show is early February - mayyyyyybe if I sold my current for a resonable price, I could jump on one of those boat show deals.

BoatTrader--listed my last boat on Sunday night and it was out of the driveway Monday afternoon--a pilot flew in Monday morning and paid the asking price--done deal!

Get the deal worked out at the boat show & just set up for a build date that delivers to you sometime in the spring. That will give you some time to get her sold (right after the boat shows is a great time to sell) & still enable you to take delivery before summer. Also, you can negotiate a trade-in based on that time frame (if they take it in on trade in the late spring for instance), that way you have a "worst case scenario" to go by while trying to sell.
