Hello! And a question...

Hi everyone, I lurked here for a few months as I was shopping for a sunsetter XTI. This site is a great resource, it helped to make me an informed buyer. I learned quite a bit about Malibu boats just by reading and using the search function so a big ole THANKS! is in order for everyone sharing their knowledge here. We are now the proud owners of a 2005 Malibu Sunsetter XTI, we got a great deal on a demo model with only 3 hours on it. Now the question - our boat is a Sunsetter XTI but it has SUNSCAPE stickers on it Dontknow.gif You can actually still see it on BoatTrader here: http://www.boattraderonline.com/caddetail..../0/85633760.htm

We bought it about a month ago but I guess they have another one that has similar colors still for sale. When we were looking at it I asked the dealer about it and he said something like sunscapes weren't always v-drives and it was more of an option package than a boat model thing. In my limited experience (two months internet shopping) I haven't ever seen a sunsetter (except ours) with sunscape stickers - to me suncape = vdrive. Could they have just put the wrong stickers on at the factory? Anybody know anything about this?

Thanks,

Mary

At the factory EVERYTHING is an option.

I saw them putting flames in gelcoat at the factory a year or so ago.

For a small fee, you can get anything added or deleted from a specific boat. That's what is so great about them. They build it just the way you want it.

Dealer must have ordered it that way - thinking it would sell better.
