2021 23 LSV wave or 2021 24 MXZ wave

Been looking at upgrading the 22 LSV we bought at the start of the summer.  Have seen some very positive posts around the 24 MXZ.  Did a table on weights which may explain the positive reviews somewhat, data came from pulling up the boat comparison table on the Malibu site.  Given that a 24 MXZ outweighs a 25 LSV and is 24" 5" long compared to 25' for the 25 LSV you can see where the 24 MXZ should be able to make a pretty good wave.

What started me looking at the MXZ is our crew size, mostly kids, little under 900 pounds with 7 of us.  The bow wants to point up when I fully load the boat for dad time.  If you look at the 23 LSV/MXZ the MXZ hull is 200 pounds heavier and carries 420 LB more ballast of which most if not all is due to the larger bow tank.  I figure this puts at least 500 pounds in front of the windscreen without dragging lead around.  Would consider going to the 24 MXZ but don't like the idea of pulling a 6,000 pound boat 2 hours each way on the weekends.  So the 23 MXZ seems like a better fit for us.  All that said I don't see how anyone can go wrong with a larger bow tank that the MXZ offers,.
