Nice boat!

I love the classic inboard wooden Chris Craft boats. There is a showroom down in Cincinnati that sells the classic woodies. I've always wanted to go down and check it out, but I'm afraid I'll want to buy one. :)

I've been to that place in Cinci. Mid winter last year.....I was with a guy who was buying (Ijust went along to give my stupid opinion.) It's a neat place. The guys there were exceptionally nice (course we were in the buying mode). Try there website: http://www.antiqueboat.com/

Is that where your buddy got his boat? These guys always bring a woodie to the Cincy boat show and it always gets alot of attention. A fully restored classic is not cheap, but there are some great buys if you don't mind putting a little work into it.

yEAH, HE GOT HIS BOAT FROM CINCI, ANTIQUE BOAT. HE HAS ANOTHER LITTLE TINY BOAT....YOU CAN SEE IT IN MY PHOTO GALLERY.....52' OF PLUNDER.

IT CAN BE A b**** KEEPING THAT MAHOGANY UP, BUT THE WAY EVERYONE ON THIS BOARD SEEMS TO BE SO PARTICULAR...ITS PROBABLY NOT A WHOLE LOT MORE WORK THAN WE DO.

AS FOR MY SHOP, WELL, TO BUILD IT I HAD TO BUILD 'SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED' A NEW KITCHEN AND DINING ROOM. THE TOYS...WELL I'VE GOT THE BEST WIFE IN WORLD WHO LETS ME HAVE THEM. JUST WISH WORK DIDN'T INTERFERE WITH MY PLAY TIME!

We had a '58 CC Cavalier when I was a kid...very similar to this boat. It looks like that throttle may be a mod. Ours was a lever on the center of the steering wheel, and that wheel looks to be the same one. except with a cap in the center. I loved that boat but it did require a complete refinish every couple of years. We must have put 100k miles on that boat, mostly with me on a ski behind it.

My dad eventually gave it to me but I left it in his garage too long and he sold it to a guy for $500. I showed him one for sale the other day on the internet, he about croaked at the price Cry.gif

$500 Shocking.gif Someone got a great deal. A fully restored show worthy boat can easily go for $30,000-$70,000 depending on model. Even one in need of work can easily sell for $10,000.
