Wake surf board for 99 sunsetter

Recommended Posts

Trying to pick a first Surf board for my 99 sunsetter. Just bought the boat and slowly setting it up with ballast and a suck gate but don’t want to purchase a board that can’t surf a smaller wake. I’d like to stay under $300 and have a board I don’t need to sell after one summer.

Also, if anyone has updated tips on cheapest setup for a sunsetter, please let me know. Thinking 400 lb sack, 750 on surf side, whatever I can fit in the ski locker, people in the front, plus suck gate.

so far

Cwb ride 62” $299

Liquid force rocket 60” $289

CTRL slash 59” $259

CTRL durado 52” $125

South Bay rambler 52” $229

hyperlight broadcast 56” $360

thanks for any help

We have the Liquid Force and Hyperlite.  After using both for a season and now into season two the Liquid Force stays in the basement and the Hyperlite stays on the boat.  Great all around board for all abilities.  Get the Hyperlite.  Does not matter much what year you get they are all great boards.  The 5'4" is best all around.
