Highest point on 06 VLX W/Titan III

I don't know but I know it wont fit in a 7 foot door, We had to take ours off it get in the garage for the winter.

I just bought an 06 VLX with a Titan III and it fits in my garage but it takes a little work. Mine sits on a SMP trailer but is probably close to same height. My door is 83" from the top weather strip to the floor. If you remove the 2 front mount bolts from the front bar you can then pull it toward the rear of the boat and lay it on the back seat with the legs resting on the windshield frame.(I use a foam noodle that was cut in half and slit down the side to protect the windshield frame and tower finishes) That leaves the rear bar that will lay back on the tow pylon. I removed the bolt from the pull up pylon so I can take the pylon out of the tube. That allows the rear bar to lay about 3" lower if you open the center hatch first. Lay the hatck back on the bar and it should fit in the garage. It is not that bad after you get the hang of it. If you have any questions feel free to call. (e-mail me for my phone # if you want) There are a couple of other options like lowering torsion axles, good for about an inch or building a new garage. I couldn't handle the last option after buying the VLX.

Hope this helps, I know what you are going through I did the same thing.

I appreciate the help, I am moving back to my house in Vegas and I can't remember how tall the garage is. I am sure it is going to be 7' though because, that is the way things work. I am curious about the rear section though, because I have Alpha II's on it and they hit the seat before the tower comes close to the pylon. I need to break it down tomorrow and start measuring. The front section of the tower is easy, so that is no big deal.

I could care less about moving my stuff to Vegas, I am more concerned about making my boat fit in my garage. Damn houses aren't built for these boats, I think I will make some waves in the housing community. I guess I need to find a new house to fit my boat.....

Denny,

Do you mind taking some pictures? This seems like a good idea, I can't remember but i do think that the rear tower section was the high point on the tower. If this worked them i could keep the boat in the garage all year without too much trouble.

If you can mount the tower speakers off to the side towards where the front bar ties to the back brace, it may still be doable. Don't know if you can squeeze 2 pair in though.I may be able to take some pictures Friday. I will try. I will have to have the kids help me get them posted on here though. The only time I leave my boat out is if I am going right back out the next day, otherwise I break it down and put it in the garage. Probably doesn't take much longer to lay tower down than put on the cover. When it goes in the garage I don't have to cover it so time is about the same

you almost need some sort of quick release for the speakers...that would do the trick.
