06 or 08 23 LSV? - MUX panels scare me

Need some advice from those with hands on knowledge.  I'm looking at an '06 and an '08 23 LSV, but can't make up my mind.  I like the updated interior of the '08, but I've read a ton a posts where people have to replace the MUX panels a lot.  Is this really a big issue?  I'd rather have old fashion rocker switches, but the '08 has the new hull and interior design.

 

Any input?  I have analysis paralysis right now!!!

It's fine.  They don't fail yearly or anything.  Bakes carries them for $375/each shipped (10% off if you become a paid TMC member).  So if it fails, replace it.  Not a reason to go with the older hull design.
