Connecting Pro Mariner On Board Charger

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I'm about to install my new on board 2 bank charger and wanted to make sure I wire it right. I have the 1/2/ALL/OFF Perko switch. Do I just wire the 4 +/- connections from the charger directly to the batteries, and its that simple?

What position should the Perko switch be at when charging?

Yep direct to batteries and switch position don't matter, although mine is always off when plugged in.

Direct to batteries and switch should be in any position but all.  In all the smart charging wont work.

Switch should be OFF, regardless of brand or type. Any parasitic draws can keep the charger out of its float/idle mode, leading to an over charged battery and an over worked charger.
