Waterproof cover advice needed please

Recommended Posts

Cabinfever97

I recently purchased a 2001 Malibu sunsetter vlx 21' with platform and Titan collapsable tower.   I need a new cover for it.   This boat is stored outdoors in Minnesota during boat season.     I'd like to have a waterproof, straps, vented one that fits over the tower collapsed.     Does anyone have advice?   Sealskin has one for around $350.    Are they any good?

Local top stores have some from $1,200 up to $2,000.

If you want cheap I have used one of these on my 21 LSV (with tower folded down under the boat lift canopy) for 3 years.  Easy on and off and keeps the pollen, leaves, and blown rain out.

22' - 24' size.  Not for towing.  I have a factory cover for that if I ever need it.

x2 on the Evolution.  Cory will get caught up soon.  Call and get a deposit and get your order in line.

Cheap covers are great until they aren't.  Every dollar you save on the cover will be $50 spent on new upholstery and failed electronics when water gets in the boat.

If you like the boat and plan to keep it long-term, invest in a cover.  I have an Evolution cover now, and have had several custom made ones from local shops.  Either is a good way to go to get a good fitting cover that will last.

I emailed Cory.  He stated they have a trailerable cover for it but it wasn't what I was looking for.  ?????

He referred me to another site.  Any other advice our there?

I had one made over the tower from skiboatcovers.com.  Pretty happy with it.  Will always go with evolution for your standard tower up towable cover though
