Sunsetter LX and LXI

The LXi has an 'extension' in the rear above the water line, about 8" I think, which gives you a huge rear trunk. Other than that, not much.

I assume your asking about the '04 & models, I'm not sure about the newer ones.

Actually, I have been looking at 99 to 02 models. I know in the Response the difference is playpen vs walk thru bow rider, is it not? I have seen Sunsetter LX models that are walk thru just like the LXI.

Doesn't this depend on the model year? My take is that the LXi has a much better slalom wake.

There is a hull chart on here somewhere ... try a search or maybe someone will post a pointer.

The SLX is on the SV23 hull (except 02') while the SLXI (99'-04') is on the diamond hull. So the SLXI will have a much better slalom wake while the SLX will have a better wakeboard wake. The width is 93" for the SLX and 93.5 for the SLXI. THe SLXI has a 18 cu. ft. cantilevered rear trunk. Here is the Hull Chart. Also the SLXI is rated at 2900 Lbs. vs 2800 Lbs. for the SLX, and if IIRC the SLX carried 38 gallons of fuel vs. 35 for the SLXI.

Correct on the Response and also on the SSLX. SSLXi does have the top entry trunk whereas the SSLX has the lift the seat back entrance.

IIRC, the '02 SSLX also had a top entry trunk, though it was considerably smaller than the SSLXi's.

One other difference is in the cosmetics of the interior - the LX had a much simpler (less fancy) vinyl design than the LXi. Much like the Ride series today as compared with an LSV or VLX.

Yes that is correct.
