The real answer is the suburban will tow it but it will be hard to stop with the boat attached it will also be very slow taking off and up any kind of hill it will put allot of stress and the suburban parts will prematurely break and wear out.i tower my lsv 247 with my 2016 escalade which has a bigger motor and the escalade did not hold it's own very unpredictable when towing that weight and little to no power going up small hills, buy a diesel old or new and never look back any diesel will pull you m235 way better and allot longer diesels are made for work and pull and stop amazing.

Yeah i was really surprised by how well it performed, which is why i bought it... im sure a diesel would perform better but diesels stink and would get my boat dirty ... id get a gas 250 if i needed more power... thanks for all the thoughts!

You must be referring to older diesels. Emissions on the new ones are very clean, but at a cost.

I hear it can be done but make sure to stop for fuel frequently

That happened to me last weekend! The fuel range is NOT dependable HA

TFL did their towing comparison with the Expedition Eco vs Yukon 6.2 and the GMC did better on fuel towing. So don't worry about brands, if you want fuel mileage get a 3/4 diesel. If you can afford a 235 I doubt you are very concerned about fuel economy.
