Which tower is this?

I am looking for a new boat and found this Sunsetter LXI. However I can't recall ever seeing this tower before. Is this a Malibu tower, if so can anyone give me some info on it. Known issues, pros, cons etc....

I think this was the carbon fiber CFT Blade tower.

Agreed, looks like the CFT Blade and 2005 would have been the year for that.   I bought a 2006 and saw that tower.  I think shortly after I saw it they discontinued and recalled that tower.

This is all correct. We actually passed on buying a beautiful VLX because of it. There isn't a whole lot of information out there on it but it's is overwhelmingly negative. Poor construction and the company that made them is no longer in business. It is my understanding that it was a very small operation and couldn't keep up with the demand from Malibu.

Not sure what the market is on Sunsetter like that but it's a beautiful boat. I would think that, considering it has lasted this amount of time, you should be in good shape. Family is really rough on boats so it just wasn't for us.
