We ran the wedge in lift mode while surfing on Sunday.  It definitely makes a difference.  I normally run a 750 bag in the bow but didn't want to mess with it Sunday.  I've seen others surfing in lift mode and decided to try it.  The bow rides lower and the wave gains a little length.  It didn't seem to hurt the push at all but I didn't spend a bunch of time riding it.  I don't think it replaces more bow ballast since you loose the wave shaping benefits but it is a nice option if you don't have extra bow ballast or don't want to mess with bags in the bow.

Thanks ID AX.

I may mess around with it this weekend...I could see when we have a bunch of people in the boat it really being helpful / but currently it has been just me and the wife so we have not needed it.
