To make it work I would have to email myself a smaller version on the photo, save it and then upload that one. 

That's what I do as well. Less quality but yet easy.

I actually use photobucket now. I didn't want @shawndoggy banishing me to Facebook. It is not any harder then trying to go from my phone to the site. Especially if you are adding more then one pic.

 

Might even get me to add pics more often now. Here is one of @Stevo judging the surf wave on my old boat. My wife draws a direct link between this photo and that boat getting sold. ?

My screen name, my personality, my inability to sometimes think through an excited response before I post it... whatever it is, I get it. Like TuPac said, I ain’t mad at ya. A leopard can’t change its spots. If I post more often, even though I never mean to offend someone, I’ll end up banned for some reason or another.

Does that maybe make this place more boring because I, and others that have a weird sense of humor like me, are scared to post most of the time? Yeah, probably. But it might also make it better for other people. So we’ve moved elsewhere for our small talk because the bank of answers to questions and issues that are located here are invaluable, and we don’t want to lose that. 

So, don’t worry - you guys won. I’ll continue to keep my mouth shut 99% of the time and your apple cart stays undisturbed. 
Now, back to my group messages with TMC members where I can be a little weird and not get judged.

This post makes me sad.  But unfortunately I think it's a big part of why many guys have left.

Can I also share something else that makes me sad without getting into trouble?  It seems to me that the event(s) which started all this were totally avoidable.  I actually know and respect both sides and I'm willing to bet they both said/did things that escalated the situation beyond where it should have gone.  I doubt either side realized the consequences, some of which we're discussing in this thread.  That is a crying shame, imho.  

I've said it before so I'll say it again, if both sides were to meet in person, on the water, without any preconceived notions, they'd be fast friends and share many good times together.  I've NEVER met a TMC member in person that wasn't awesome in person.  The same holds true here.  The entire thing is so blown out of proportion because it's people communicating through keyboards instead of face-to-face.  We are all our worst selves behind the keyboard.  In that sense, this place isn't so different from WW.

Has the site suffered from this... most definitely.  I'd wager it's been a bigger factor than the new software or the inability to upload pics (still scratching my head on that one).  

The issue now is that both sides have said and done too much to the point where they are entrenched... so much so that they can't rewind the clock six months and start over.  Or can they...??  I feel it really would be better for everybody involved if they would.  

And since I'm hounding people for pictures, here's one that reflects my feelings on this subject...

I don't contribute much on the site but I read a LOT.  I have learned a lot of stuff here in the last 4 years or so. Heres my picture timeline.

One of the happiest days of my life, the day I brought her home 

Norrismike showed me how to make a new tray for under my back seat

I even learned a lot about non boating stuff, like Dai and Jetskipro turning me on to the hood I used in my kitchen remodel

IXFE talked me out of spending too much on a jeep with fear that his charts and graphs would be posted to validate his points

I also learned how to use photobucket to post pictures in a forum which was all foreign to me when I started.  I must say that I miss some of the wild personalities that were on here as well as some of the heated debates that used to happen between some members.  Sometimes when they were going on, they were a bit annoying but now that they're gone, I kinda miss the excitement that came with it.  I have to admit its been a little boring around here.  As for the new version of the site vs. the old, it doesn't much matter to me.  Both seem to work fine for the way I use the site.

This site has saved my a** many times.  Even if the answers were wrong it had me looking in places that allowed me to figure it out.  Plenty of good people willing to share their knowledge.  With that said, it's pretty boring to hangout here.  I frequent a dirt bike site that was heavily monitored and became really boring.  I stopped visiting but would check in and see how inactive the site was.  Traffic must have been way down cause it's pretty loose over there now and fun again.

O.K., I contribute some but its just a bunch of gibberish compared to the knowledge that you and some of the other OG's spit.   There's too many to mention by name but I have a lot of respect for many of you and have a deep appreciation for this site and its members for all the information and entertainment that it offers.  Here's a shout out to a few that make my time on the site enjoyable.  @shawndoggy for his knowledge of every wake and surf boat out there which probably comes from the time he spends on all the boat sites, @Fman for his ability to do any kind of mod and make it look factory, @IXFE for his charts and graphs that break down details to the nth degree, @ibelonginprison for his edgy comments about everything until the law put cuffs on him to settle him down (I miss the old IBIP), @Stevo for his clean and classy comments about the same topics, @Wakemitch for his wealth of surfboard knowledge and unbiased opinion even though is a rep for a certain company, @billairjunky for his representation of the foiling world which has consumed me since I started to fly, @upperleftwake for his knowledge of all things Malibu and his willingness to help any one in need (which I think comes from working for one of the most respected dealers in the Malibu network or maybe he is part of the reason they are so well respected, you know the chicken vs. the egg thing), @wakesetter67 for his passion for waketheworld .  Theres a few that I miss their input like @nyryan, @TallRedRider, @bamboners  and of course, and dare I say it? @DocPhil.  These guys bought other brands and still continued to contribute valuable info here on this site.  And @Afun, well, that goes without saying.  @-BS-, @LanceBJohnson, Bobbylight/bright for their stance on listed vs. gated waves and the list goes on and on and on and on........(see what I did there?).  @martinarcher who made a skier into a surf boat.  A SKIER INTO A SURF BOAT!!!! @Rmack who organized a group buy for me to get the best towels ever and @malibudude who is hopefully going to get me some more.  As you old dogs can tell by the members who have made an impact on me, I am relatively new to the site so I am certain that there were many personalities that have come and gone before I joined and I am sure there will be more to come.  I hope to be a part of this site for a long time.  I have met some really good dudes from this site and look forward to meeting more.  We all share the same passion of being on the water.  I have been on other forums but none that have as many respectful members as what we have here.  Thank you to all of you that make this site great and keep me logging in.  This site is far from dying but rather going through a trough as it ebbs and flows.  I'm hopeful and certain that we will find the next wave that will make it exciting again.  Sorry, no pictures for this post.

On your desktop just click "forums" in the top blue menu bar.

On mobile click the drop down menu list next to the search icon at the top right and then click forums.
