I'm looking for a 'new' to me truck

Here's the deal, normally we would use my dads Chevy dually which i'll admit is total overkill. Now i'm looking for a 80-87 Chevy K10 short-bed pickup. Here's my question though, Should i just get a K-5 blazer? is it the same size ruffly? I know how to fix the square body Chevy's and they're simple and easy for me.

I just want to know if i have to beef up the suspension and maybe slightly rake the front end so my headlights aren't pointing at the moon.

My boat is just a 2003 response LX, so it's no too heavy.

Wheelbase on the SCSB truck is 11.5" longer than the Blazer. More stability for towing. That said, either will pull that boat with no problem--provided it's all in good working order. Even springs will sag over the course of 30 years on the road and are considered a maintenance item.

Cool trucks, but they're getting older and might need attention.
