Oil leak at drain plug

Recommended Posts

evanlaczi

I am in the process of changing the oil on my 98 response Lx which I have done many times before. When I moved the house to pull through the bilge hole. The engine bay begin to fill with oil. It seems that it is leaking from where the hose meets the oil pan. It doesn't seem rusted and I barley moved it. Any ideas???

On mine, the hose screws into a fitting that screws into the bottom of the pan (where a normal drain plug would be). If yours is the same, maybe it just loosened when you moved the hose and you could just tighten it back up.

It seems very tight think hose is torn.
