Beginner surf board

Recommended Posts

Thinking of buying a surfboard, mainly for my kids and their friends.

Probably 120 - 150 pound range for weight.

Suggestions anyone?

I have had a 5'11" HL Land locked for years as a beginner / all around board. It is stable, tracks well, is fairly fast down the line and doesn't pearl too easy. It takes a licking and keeps on ticking too and should be about as cheap a beginner board as you wil find. I have used it for kids at 100lbs to adults up to 225 lbs behind my "LSV" with no problems!

I teach everyone on a Debut. It's the easiest board to teach people on.

During a recent trip to Utah for clinics I taught 5 first timers who never wakesurfed (some never did a watersport) and they all went ropeless in under 10 minutes.
