04 VLX Bow Tank Ballast Connection is Stripped & Won't Hold Fill Pump

My 04 VLX Bow Tank Ballast Connection is Stripped and the repair shop has tried a couple different ways including a permanent epoxy to get it to hold, but the connection wont hold during a water fill pump. How can I fix this issue? They told me it's hard because the tank is nylon and nothing bonds well to the nylon tank. Any help ideas or suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

I don't know what it looks like but just thinking...could you close off that fill hole and make a new one somewhere else? I apologize for my ignorance just not sure what the setup looks like

I will post a picture tomorrow when I pick up the boat. Not sure what to fill the hole up with if I can't find anything to bond to the tank. If I had something that would bond to the tank I would just bond the hose/ connection to it.

I know a lot of people have switched over to that kind of set up (bag w/ quick connect). I kinda wanna patch or Jimmy rig it to get me through the season. Unless this is an easy or quick process I'd like to hold on a new setup. If that's my only option, so be it.

I had this happen on my 06 VLX. I used a rubber sleeve, hose clamp, and some silicon. This triple attack has done a very good job of both holding it in and preventing any leaks.
